With that said, I want to thank him for taking on this massive endeavor that I know will be debated which both Alan and I welcome from our readers. The rankings will not be stagnate and you will see many changes which as we do, a Press Release will be put out with the exact changes we made.)

Now for the fun part and I know “The Aficionado” welcomes it, there is a form box on the actual rankings page which will be located above the RSR Banner for you to send your LOVE, HATE, and WTF? comments directly to Alan who by the way, is now the RSR Chairman of the Ringside Report Rankings.

Ringside Report is proud to present our Top 20 RSR World Boxing Rankings. All 17 divisions and a Pound for Pound list are included. Our ranking system is compiled by careful analysis looking over all world ranked fighters and then we select who we feel is the 20 most deserving of our world ranking.

In the case of championship vacancies, our goal is to fill that vacancy in the most efficient manner. It is not always possible for an ideal situation of #1 vs #2, and we don’t wish to wait years to fill the championship spot. In this case the championship will be rewarded to the first two top 10 contenders with the courage to face each other, even if that it is #9 and #10. However, in the case of several contender fights within a short period of a month or so, RSR will use its own discretion. An example would be if #9 and #10 are fighting on July 1st and #3 and #7 are fighting on July 15th, the higher ranked contenders would fill the vacant championship spot.

A champion can only lose his championship three different ways, by losing a fight in the weight class he is the champion of, states he is changing divisions permanently, or fails to defend his championship against a top 5 contender in a two year period.
