Floyd Mayweather, JR – Ronda Rousey WAR OF WORDS CONTINUES! SHOCKS Boxing & MMA World
By Barnaby “Mattress Man” Kellaway
Floyd Mayweather, JR. has finally acknowledged Ronda Rousey’s existence, albeit with a typical “Money” response.
Speaking on ESPN’s SportsCenter he said: “I’ve yet to see any MMA fighter, or other boxer, make over $300 million in 36 minutes, when she can do that, then call me.”
However, he did, in the same breath, give her props: “A while back I didn’t know who Ronda Rousey was, so I’m pretty sure she got upset. I want to say congratulations to Ronda Rousey and the UFC. You guys have done a tremendous job and I’ve won probably six or seven ESPYS for Fighter of the Year. And I truly believe she deserves it. Congratulations to Ronda Rousey.”
These comments come after Rousey made disparaging comments about Mayweather, JR. after beating him to win fighter of the year at the ESPYS last month – “I wonder how Floyd feels being beaten by a woman for once.”
So, even though he doesn’t have the balls to face a proper opponent in the ring, he does have the balls to give credit to the greatest fighter in the world.
