Oy Vay are you going to hear it today… RSR Readers how have you been? I had to take some time off to help an ailing friend who I am happy to report, is doing better. So what did I miss? Is “Bad” Brad still working that BookFace he tells me about or Shitter? He says people have great comments about my columns on BookFace and though I am not one for Social Media, I do appreciate your kind comments on my column. For those who don’t like it, kick yourself in the bagels twice!

Gennady Golovokin – David Lemieux… This one has barnburner written all over it. Two explosive punchers who know the winner of this fight, gets a big one in their next match up that generates millions for their bank account. I think it will be an all out war and we are going to see “GGG” badly hurt, but coming back to stop Lemieux.

Don Rickles… I have seen him many times over the years and broke bread with him as well. He is one of the funniest to ever do comedy. I’m going to let a secret out about him. He is the kindest – gentlest man when he is not doing his act and cameras are not on. Frank Sinatra told me many times, “nobody broke him up more and he allowed Don to do more funny shit to him than anyone else in the world.”

Carmen Basilio…. Oh do I miss that little tough SOB! He gave the boxing fans everything he had in the ring and out, he was a delight to be around. Carmen and Al used to go at in the funniest way.

My Pal Al (“Bad” Brad’s Father) …

I just found out that Al’s first cousin, Louie sadly passed away in Las Vegas at the age of 86 back in July. Al and Louie were close, especially as kids. When Al and I became friends in 49, the first person he introduced me to was Louie. Here is the introduction.

Al: Packy, this is my cousin Louie. He is the cheapest prick you will ever meet. So cheap, that when he walks, he squeaks.

RIP Louie. Say hello to Al up there for me……

The Chutzpah Award… The Chutzpah Award is awarded to Liev Schreiber. This young man is an acting dynamo on Ray Donovan and other film vehicles I have seen him in. But not to stop there, he does a lot of HBO shows where he narrates them. I was shocked at just how many and his voice is perfect for them. From all accounts, he is down to earth and a really nice guy. In fact, I hear he stands up for many worthy causes. So, he is deserving of The Chutzpah Award in my book.
