On October 17th, the WBA & WBC Middleweight Champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin, 33-0, 30 KO’s faces the IBF Middleweight Champion David Lemieux, 34-2, 31 KO’s at Madison Square Garden on Pay Per View. This on paper, has the makings of an explosive fight where betting will be heavy for sure.

Golovkin is a fighter who is very popular, but to no fault of his own, after a dozen title defenses he has yet, to get that career defining fight. This is a step towards it, but not the one to cement his top five status yet in the P4P rankings. The winner of Canelo Alvarez – Miguel Cotto is at least in talk, the next opponent for the winner of “GGG” – Lemieux and that fight, is for sure a career defining win for “GGG” if he does in fact, get past Lemieux.
