Floyd Mayweather, JR. In Talks with Manny Pacquiao Email Bag

Hosted by “Bad” Brad Berkwitt

On November 19th I reported Breaking News in an article titled Floyd Mayweather JR. Reported to be Finally in Talks to Face Manny Pacquiao in 2011 on information that was reported to me from a very close source inside ‘”Team Mayweather”.  RSR always welcomes any readers  opinion as long as they are not racial. (In fact, if you ever see a post that we miss and it has anything racial in it let either Geno or I know, and it will be pulled down immediately).

Well, the emails came in angry, positive, and a few that were down right weird, but have to make you laugh. So without any further ado, let me try to respond to a few of them.

Bad Brad,

I see RSR broke a story once again, but you also broke that the fight in the past was a “Done Deal.” Are you just making stuff up or are you really getting legit information or doing these articles to just gain traffic for your website?

Patrick Johnson

Pat,

First off, thanks for writing in and expressing your opinions. I noticed that there were a few angry posts on my article last week. I always get a kick out of people who post their disgust, but never really read what is there. RSR broke the story that they are in talks. Not that the fight was a 100% guarantee. Everybody would love for RSR to name their source inside the “Mayweather Camp”, but that will not happen because they asked not to be identified. This gentleman which is all I will say is gaining nothing by giving RSR inside info. As the boxing world craves this matchup he does as well because he feels that Floyd will stop Manny without any doubt. Keep reading and following RSR because as we get inside information no different than many other news sources out there, you will as a RSR reader have to decide if you believe it or not. We gain nothing by making it up and if you look at any article on RSR that pertains to Manny, they do very well.

I have been around boxing for 35 years both as an amateur boxer and professional boxing writer. There is no sport in my mind greater, but the truth is, Manny Pacquiao right now for the most part, is the face of boxing and what many readers would like to read. We will always try to bring you as much diversity as we can daily and we will always do that along with trying to be creative and write articles on Manny from different angles to make a reader ponder what is in that particular article.

LOSER BERKWITT

I HAVE BEEN GONE A LONG TIME, BUT JUST KNOW, BOYS RULE AND GIRLS DROOL. YOU TOLD MILEY CIRUS THAT I WAS NUTS AND SHE SHOULD NOT BE INTERESTED IN A 38 YEAR OLD MAN WHO LIVES IN HIS PARENTS BASEMENT! SO WHAT IF I STALK PEOPLE FOR THEIR AUTOGRAPHS? I AM ALSO FAMOUS UNLIKE YOU AND YOUR CRAP SITE YOU SONOFBITCHBASTARD. WHAT GAVE YOU THE RIGHT TO SAY A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO I AM NUTS? I AM NOT NUTS! MILEY I LOVE YOU AND SAY HI TO BRITTANY SPEARS FOR ME.

BACKSEATCUDDLERFORLIFE

BSCFL,

Wow I see you are off your meds again, but let me try to really get out what you are saying in this “Nutso” email of yours where you feel compelled to YELL!
So what you are really asking me is: If Sergio Martinez fights Manny Pacquiao who will win?

I think at this point, Sergio is too big for Manny and with that said, Martinez should chase the big names at 168 LBS. Make sure to get back on your meds stat and Miley said you are a real whack job!

BB,

I want to believe your breaking news, but Floyd is so full of it lately and his camp too. Do you honestly think your source is right?

TJ

TJ,

Honestly, it’s probably around a 75-25 chance the fight will finally get made. The reason I think it will get made is the huge $$$ amount all parties involved will make. Money dictates almost everything and with Floyd’s mounting legal and tax problems he needs all he can get. The only reason I see this fight not being made is as Geno alluded to in other articles that Roger Mayweather might not be able to work his corner with his pending trial and jail sentence and Floyd knows that if anyone can beat him, it’s Manny Pacquiao. It will not help PBF to have a new corner man at this point of his career and I think that worries Floyd. Mayweather also knows if he goes in there less than 100% against Pacquiao, he stands a good chance of getting his ass handed to him. Either way, the fight needs to be made and Boxing will reap the many benefits of a truly “Super Match” as this would be.

“Bad” Brad,

I have been reading Ringside Report for many years and glad to see you guys are getting the exposure your work and website deserves. At one time you had a very funny writer that my buddy Bruno called “Georgie Girl”, but his real name is George Diaz-Smith. Is he writing anymore?

Andy Simmons

Andy,

Bruno is probably George’s number one fan and from the animated to say the least emails he has sent me about his “Georgie Girl” as he calls him, are well, off the normal chart by about 190. However, George is now retired from boxing writing and living on Pluto I think. No, just kidding. He is enjoying life and spends time on his Yacht docked in Jamaica. Yeah Right! I have no idea where Bruno’s “Georgie Girl” is anymore, but he is a great guy and over the years, cracked both Geno and I up on his many escapades. GO GEORGE

Well folks, that’s all for now, but all any of us can do is wish that the games – business side of this fight can finally be worked out and in 2011, Floyd Mayweather, JR. gets in the ring against P4P best Manny Pacquiao.
