In a rematch, former two-time world title challenger David “Severo” Carmona (20-2-5, 8 KOs) won a ten round split decision over WBO #9, WBC #11 contender Ricardo “Meserito” Rodriguez (12-3, 4 KOs) on Friday night at the Blackberry Auditorium in Mexico City, Mexico. Carmona dropped Rodriguez in round six, and won 97-92 on two cards. Rodriguez was up 96-93 on the third card. Carmona won their first fight by ten round unanimous nod 15 months ago.
