RSR Weight Class Rankings are Updated – Breaking Boxing News

At Heavyweight, #8 Bermane Stiverne defeated unranked Derric Rossy by unanimous decision. Stiverne will maintain his ranking.

At Light Heavyweight, #7 Edwin Rodriguez defeated unranked Michael Seals by 3rd round stoppage. Both fighters were down multiple times. Rodriguez will maintain his ranking, and despite the loss Seals announces his presence as a formidable force in the high action fight of the year candidate. #16 Thomas Williams JR. defeated unranked Humberto Savigne by 2nd round TKO. Both fighters were also down in this bout. Williams will maintain his ranking.

At Super Middleweight, Andre Ward has now gone over 2 years without defending his Super Middleweight Lineal World Championship, and as well is planning to participate at Light Heavyweight, and so will now be stripped of the RSR world championship. The vacancy can be filled by the first two eligible top rated world contenders who dare to be bold and fight each other.

At Junior Middleweight, unranked Charles Hatley defeated #15 Anthony Mundine by 11th round TKO. Mundine will exit the rankings while Hatley will enter at #17. Other fighters may rise or fall due to these changes.

At Junior Lightweight, unranked Juli Giner scored an upset over #11 Romain Jacob winning by 8th round TKO. Giner will enter at #12 while Jacob will fall to #17. Rikki Naito will exit to make room for Jacob. Other fighters may rise or fall due to these changes.
