Arthur Abraham Vs Carl Froch & Sakio Bika Vs Andre Ward: Super Six Shocking Fight Results
The super six showdown between former Arthur Abraham and Carl Froch just took place in Helsinki, Finland.
The fight result was surprising to most with the exception of one of the fighters involved and their camps. Click the read more to find out the results if you can’t wait for the Showtime telecast tonight…
Carl Froch, 27-1, 20 KO’s, totally dominated a withdrawn and apparently disinterested Arthur Abraham, 31-2, 25 KO’s, taking the unanimous decision (120-108 twice, and 119-109) and picking up the vacant WBC Super Middleweight Title. From the opening bell, Froch was far more active and used his superior size and ambition to take the fight over and keep the control from the opening round to the end. Abraham, whether he was afraid of Froch’s power or just not into the fight mentally, never really tried to win. He just kept plodding forward. This is a far cry from the dominant middleweight champion that we once knew.
Froch moves on in the super six and is a definite live dog against any of the other 168 pounders in the tournament.
Ward Defeats Bika
Andre Ward, 23-0, 13 KO’s, defended his WBA Super Middleweight Title with an ugly twelve round unanimous decision over Sakio Bika, 28-5-2, 19 KO’s, by scores of 120-108, and 118-110 (twice). It was what we expected. A decision win with the more talented Ward using his grappling style to confuse his opponent and take the decision.
