Erik Skoglund Wins UD Over Derek Edwards – Breaking Boxing News

RSR Boxing Headlines headerUnbeaten IBF #4 light heavyweight Erik Skoglund (23-0, 11 KOs) won a hard fought ten round unanimous decision over Derek Edwards (27-5-1, 14 KOs) on Saturday night at the Rosvalla Arena in Nyköping, Sweden. Skoglund staggered Edwards before the final bell. Scores were 100-90, 99-91 and 99-92. Edwards has now dropped four of his last five, but the win was a big one: a KO1 against current WBC world champion Badou Jack in 2014.

Unbeaten super lightweight Anthony Yigit (16-0-1, 7 KOs) was victorious over 41-year-old former world champion DeMarcus “Chop Chop” Corley (42-26-1, 25 KOs) when Corley didn’t come out for round four. Corley 0-4 in 2015. Unbeaten heavyweight Otto Wallin (14-0, 10 KOs) outpointed Samir Kurtagic (12-8, 8 KOs) over six.
