Behind The Lens on The “Bad” Brad Berkwitt Show with Guests Cliff & Kris Cohn

“I love real people!” “Bad” Brad proclaimed this while interviewing local photographer Cliff Cohn. It always interesting to talk to a fellow boxing fan. It’s intriguing to speak to someone who looks behind a lens, capturing moments of a sport that we all love. But it is most refreshing to speak to someone who is real! So many people camouflage themselves for different reasons. Maybe the person is insecure. Perhaps there is an ulterior motive. What we love (we being “‘Bad” Brad and I) is meeting people who are simply who they are…. no pretentiousness, no games…. sincere, caring people with whom we share mutual interests. We found such people with Cliff and Kris.

Cliff is a maintenance mechanic with a large Airline company. He is also a sports photographer who enjoys watching boxing and smoking exotic cigars. Kris, his wife, is an entrepreneur in the Tulsa area, who specializes in hair braiding. Sitting behind the lens, I not only enjoyed hearing their responses to “Bad” Brad’s questions, but I loved the energy that I felt from this couple. The look on Cliff’s face when Kris came onto the set, the pride in Kris’ voice when she spoke admiringly of her husband’s many attributes, the love that was evident between the two is truly admirable. They are sincere people. They are a real couple. Their love for one another and their passion for the things that they undertake is an example for all, and we are blessed to know them.

Yes, we live busy lives. We have varied interests. Regardless of where we are along this journey, our lives are richer when we take the time to get to know sincere, straightforward individuals. We have a common bond in that we love a particular sport, that being boxing. We have mutual friends whom we love and adore. But one common thread supersedes this all, “Bad” Brad and I place a high value on commitment, dedication, and loyalty.
