Cam Newton and the Panthers Crush the Cardinals 49 -15

If this were a boxing match if would have been stopped after the first quarter. Carolina led 17-0 after Cam Newton found Corey Brown for an 86 yard touchdown pass with less than a minute remaining in the period. From there, the outcome was never in doubt but the carnage continued. By the end of the 3rd quarter, the Panthers led 34-7 and the rest of the game was garbage time. The Cardinals offense committed 7 turnovers, while Newton threw for 335 yards and accounted for 4 touchdowns, rushing for two and rushing for two. Carolina’s 49 points for the game represents a Conference Championship record for the Super Bowl era. Don’t look now NFL fans but this Panthers team is for real! They will likely be a double digit favorite over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50. Get your popcorn ready!
