Brock Lesnar Comes Out of Retirement for UFC 200 – MMA News
In a night full of surprises, the UFC pulled the biggest easter egg promo ever.During pay-per-view broadcast, the UFC showed it’s promo for UFC 200 where all fighters in the card such as Miesha Tate, Frankie Edgar and Jon Jones appeared to hype up the UFC’s premiere card of the year. What surprised the people watching was a familiar voice shouting:
“Can you see me now?”
Lo’ and behold, the former heavyweight champion appears on screen with his menacing grin and gigantic fists pointed at the camera. The speculation had been confirmed that Brock Lesnar will return to active duty after his retirement and 5-year absence. Lesnar is scheduled to fight against a yet-to-be-named opponent. It is well noted that Lesnar fought his way to the championship with the shortest path to the belt, he’s the fastest fighter to ever reach the championship having only 3 fights to his name before defeating then-champion Randy “The Natural” Couture.
Lesnar was also UFC’s biggest draw at the time and it’s obvious that the promotion is bulking up its star-power for the stellar event. Lesnar left the UFC with a 5-3 record and returned to WWE and continued his pro-wrestling career.
UFC 200 will be on July 9th.
