Floyd Mayweather, JR: Shocking Response to Comeback for Fight Number 50 – Breaking Boxing News

FMJBy “Bad” Brad Berkwitt

RSR readers I have to tell you, I have been in the writing business for 20 years next year and it’s great to see we still have some truly knowledgeable and loyal readers around the world. I thank you from the heart for your support. I felt compelled to share a few emails of countless ones my inbox received in the last 24 hours since my article Floyd Mayweather, JR Breaks Silence: Coming Back for Fight Number 50! Opponent Named– Breaking Boxing News was published.

Here are a few:

“Bad” Brad,
I was on the floor with the line about Floyd fighting Pinky the stripper (1099 included of course). Your title brought me in and I was smiling from ear to ear that you have never deviated from calling it like you see it brother. Pay Per Screw is right! Keep fighting the reality fight in boxing journalism and I will never stop reading your columns which just so you know, I have been reading since 97.

Regards-
Tony T.

Double B’s,
“Make It Rain” is the funniest damn line I have ever heard for a nickname. Look, I also am not a fan of Mayweather, but as you said, the cat is the best of his generation like him or not! Anything else said about his skills in the ring, are just ridiculous! I personally don’t want to see him comeback because the taste from the Pacquiao fight I can’t get out of my mouth with any amount of mouthwash! Floyd if you are reading this, stay in strip clubs!

Thanks again for all you do Double B’s.
Troy S.

“Bad” Brad,
I am a huge fan of Floyd’s and I wanted to curse you out, but you are so damn fair even with your criticism of him in your article, that I have even more respect for your work because though critical, you give him the props he deserved. If I am to have full disclosure, I am not a fan of many of his antics out of the ring, but in my mind, that doesn’t mean a damn thing in what he accomplished in the ring. Thanks for being the voice of boxing and I saw on Ringside Report you have a book which I just ordered on Amazon. If it’s as good as your columns, I have no doubt I am in for a treat.

Stay well dude!
James P.

There were many more emails, but the sentiments were the same and others, really bashed Floyd, with some choice words that even had racial hatred that I refuse to run on RSR or support. The color of the man’s skin has nothing to do with anything.
