Ronda Rousey Ring Return UPDATE – Breaking UFC News
Ronda Rousey has not stepped inside the Octagon since Nov. 15, 2015, now rumors are swirling that she’s negotiating a deal with the UFC to fight current women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes but the UFC and Ronda’s camp did not confirm nor denied rumors.
However, the UFC cleared the air on Rousey’s return that might take place in New York, Dana passed along information that he can’t provide details about her potential comeback fight but noted it wouldn’t happen on the UFC 205 card at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 12, as previously speculated.
Previously, Ronda expressed her current endeavors outside of fighting and training that are keeping her busy:
“I’m selling a product, and I have to be out there; I don’t have the option not to be,” Rousey said. “But after this fight, I’m definitely going to let some people miss me, for sure. Believe me, there’s nothing I would like to do more than disappear for a while.”
Her trainer Edmond Tarverdyan expressed that his ward is in shape but still deciding on when to return:
“There have been talks about her coming back (Dec 30), but we haven’t made a final decision yet. There’s a chance she fights to get her belt back this year, but nothing is set yet. If we do make a comeback this year, we will. If not we will make it next year. We want to thank all our fans for being patient. When she does come back, we promise the best Ronda Rousey that anyone has ever seen.”
Rousey is taking her time, after a brutal loss it’s only proper for her to take it easy and recuperate, she needs all the time she can get. With her coach’s current comments though, it seems that Rousey is building herself back up to fighting shape and wants her belt back badly, despite her loss the MMA world has not forgotten about her, her opponents most certainly has not forgotten about her, whatever her decision will be, spectacle, pressure, and excitement will sure follow.
