Zab Judah: IBF Light Welterweight Title Challenge in March…Amir Khan Could Follow
RSR has just been informed that former Unified Welterweight Champion, Zab “Super” Judah, 40-6, 27 KO’s, coming off his victory over previously undefeated power-puncher, Lucas Matthysse, will be facing Kaizer Mabuza, 23-6-3, 14 KO’s, on March 5th in New Jersey. This is an opportunity for Judah to get into the mix at 140 pounds.
Should Judah win, the rumored next fight could be against WBA Champ, Amir Khan. Judah has name value and still, arguably, gave Floyd Mayweather, JR., his toughest fight of his career. A Khan – Judah unification bout would sell well.
Mabuza hopes to put an end to that possibility by upsetting Judah. With 8 straight wins coming into the fight, the bout will not be a pushover for Judah.
