WBO lightweight world champion Ray Beltran, 35-7-1, 21 KO’s, will return to action on August 25, 2018, in Glendale, Arizona, when he puts his title on the line against his WBO mandatory, Russian, Roman Andreev, 21-0, 15 KO’s. The fight will take place at the Gila River Arena.

A $252,000 purse bid was won by Top Rank Promotions. Beltran will take home a 75% of purse split. The fight will be featured on another edition of Top Rank on ESPN. Beltran is on a six fight win streak since suffering a loss to P4P great, Terence Crawford in 2014.

A Beltran win could see him lined up to take on another P4P great, Vasyl Lomachenko upon his return from surgery. Of course, Andreev, will be looking to spoil those plans. Top Rank has been busy as of late with several top-flight fights taking place in the ESPN platform, peaking intrastate from fans of all knowledge levels.
