Kevin Smith Airline Disaster: Breaking News

By Geno McGahee

America is the fattest country in the world, and you will often see rotund women/men on those motorized carts at the wholesale stores with a bag of potato chips in their lap. Obesity and cigarettes are both linked to death and the government is attempting to put taxes on candy bars and soft drinks. The message is: no more fatties in America!

Kevin Smith, writer/director of CLERKS, CLERKS II, MALL RATS, and CHASING AMY has lost 65 pounds because of an incident on a flight where it was determined that he was too fat for one seat. He was ejected and actually told that he was “too fat for one seat.”

“I feel mixed feelings about losing the weight,” Smith told Joy Behar on her HLN show Tuesday, stating that the incident on the Southwest flight made him more aware of the plight of the obese. He continued to say: “I sympathize far more with heavier people than I ever will with thin,” Smith says. “I’ll never be thin.”

Smith supporters contacted RSR and stated that “people should be as fat as they want to be and if they buy a ticket on the plane, then let their fat (expletive) sit on a plane.” Another comment was: “Smith is a star and he has the right to enjoy his money and eat like a king. He’s not that fat compared to a lot of people I’ve seen anyway.”

RSR wishes nothing but happiness for Kevin Smith, a great writer/director.
