The Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin Gravely Ill – Breaking Update

Legendary is a word often times today that is overused, but in the case of “The Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin, is justly due. Franklin, 76 is gravely ill but is surrounded by family members in her Detroit home getting Hospice care where today, Stevie Wonder and the Reverend Jesse Jackson visited her which was confirmed to People Magazine by her longtime publicist Gwendolyn Quinn.

Glynn Turman, who was married to Franklin from 1978 to 1984, also paid her a visit, adds her rep. “She is seriously ill and surrounded by family members who appreciate the outpouring of love and support they have received,” Quinn says of the “Respect” singer’s condition.
