Why Americans Must Remain Awake In a Donald J. Trump America!

Has anyone ever noticed that when the Trump Administration wants to implement their agenda they do it with the clock and dagger of the night? Many of us were not aware of the Trump Administration’s separation of parents and children, who are migrants seeking asylum in this country. Some 800 plus children will never see their parents again because their parents were deported in the cover of night and without notice. Notice how the Justice Department just last week deported a mother and daughter in the early night hours of the morning well aware that their case for appeal was that very morning at 9am. Thank heavens that Federal Judge Emmett Sullivan stepped in and ordered that plane back to the United States so that this mother and daughter have a chance to have their appeal heard.
Another example is the US citizenship of Melania Trump’s parents. Melania happened to sponsor her parents for citizenship, yet her husband, the President is against what is called “chain immigration”. Her parents happened to benefit from this chain immigration. Trump wants a merit base system in which you have to have a certain skill to come to this country, yet her parents who are in their 70’s have none. This was done in the cover of darkness. Her parents where sent through the backdoor and thank heavens the media was right there to film it all. My father’s brother, who is a pharmacist by trade, but can’t come to this country because he is on that Muslim country ban list. He has a skill that would be valuable to this country. I could not even sponsor him even if I wanted to. Luckily, he settled in Winnipeg, Canada with his family, where the Canadian government offered him a home and citizenship.
My major concern is that I may end up back on the plantation. Reading this you may think I am crazy. When you think about it, with the Trump Administration deporting people who happen to work the farms of this nation, who do they have left. After all, African Americans descended from the slaves who were here so they can’t deport us. Soon the farmers won’t have anyone to help harvest their crops. I wouldn’t be surprised if would be proposed by people like Senior Advisor Stephen Miller, that instead of wasting tax payer dollars providing entitlements such as welfare and public housing “let’s make them work for it”. Before you know it in the cover of night, we will be back on the plantation.
This is why me must be awake at all times. Don’t feed into their need to discredit the media. They hate the media because they hold them accountable. As people, we must be aware and knowledgeable at all times to what is going on in our government. Read, be aware and vote.
