Vince McMahon Vs Dana White: The UFC Shutdown
A state representative of Connecticut is now saying that the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) is attempting to block legislation that would legalize and regulate MMA in the state of Connecticut.
Connecticut is currently one of only four states where MMA is banned (except at Native American casino’s), and the WWE is being accused of trying to keep things that way.
A representative of the WWE, Robert Zimmerman denied the accusations, saying WWE was “not opposed to this or anything else the state wants to do with regards to sports or entertainment.”
This all seems to be backlash of UFC’s President Dana White rejecting Vince McMahon’s request of having Brock Lesnar appear at this year’s WrestleMania event. With this coming to surface its only a matter of time before the UFC responds seeing how Vince and Dana are allegedly “friends” and have quite a respect for each other at least in public eyes. MMA should be legal in all 50 states and stories like this of people trying to block the sport intentionally to save their own revenue is getting quite old. WWE headquarters is located in Connecticut.
