Jeff Hardy Drugs: Hulk Hogan Shocking Words Shake TNA
Hulk Hogan responded to a fan on Twitter who suggested TNA Wrestling get rid of Jeff Hardy because he has a “problem that needs to be sorted out.” as many fans have addressed, I myself cannot get any sort of reply from TNA President Dixie Carter either on the situation. Hogan replied “Brother, we’re trying to get everything straightened out, I feel bad about some of the situations that have to be dealt with.”
In backstage news on the situation, TNA employees have made the decision to send Jeff Hardy home from this week’s iMPACT! television tapings. After numerous reports from last night’s Victory Road that Hardy was in no condition to perform and management decided to cut his match with Sting short real short not even 90 seconds short.
Unlike the last time there was a question about Hardy’s condition (prior to the Final Resolution in December, company officials were going to strip Hardy of the World Heavyweight Championship due to his condition backstage at the event, but then changed their minds and stripped him in February.) No one within the company has attempted to defend him not even his own flesh and blood Matt Hardy.
Many company employees are infuriated about the situation, especially with the decision to allow Jeff Hardy to go out in front of the audience considering he stumbled on the ramp and nearly tripped over the ring steps. Others were shocked not even surprised that there was no backup plan to “make it up” to the audience which saw the event end 20 minutes before it was scheduled to end. You could also see that Sting was clearly pissed off after the match, upset doesn’t clarify it. Sting, after all the what ifs about returning or going to WWE, had returned to “his brand” TNA deal with this? Not a way to treat a legend of any sport.
While Hardy has been sent home from this week’s iMPACT! tapings, no further decision has been made regarding his future in the organization. Hardy was going to be booked in this year’s Lethal Lockdown match at Lockdown but those plans might be scrapped entirely and he may never be back. Hardy tweeted last night after the event that “things are op.” whatever that means, to me that means things are operational but it didn’t look like he could function at all. His next court date in Moore County, North Carolina is now scheduled for Wednesday instead of Monday.
I will keep you posted on this situation and I hope everyone feels the same way about getting Jeff Hardy off of TV ASAP and getting him clearly much needed help. Drug Abuse in Pro Wrestling is epidemic and I refuse to wake up to write an article on the passing of Jeff Hardy like I have had to do for so many others over the years.
