Triple H, Undertaker, Miz, John Cena & the Rock: Wrestlemania Update

March 22nd, 2011 Geno

By Kevin Nelson

This week’s edition of RAW took place in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. The show started with HHH making an appearance and calling out the Undertaker to meet him face to face next week on RAW. He would be interrupted by Ted Dibiase who said he needs to get his career on track and one way to do that was take out the cerebral assassin.

After trading a few shots with HHH, he would be overpowered and pedigreed through a table, which made a statement, that he is a force to be reckoned with.

The next match was the new US Champion Sheamus being defeated by Evan Bourne in a non title match. Afterward Daniel Bryan invoked his rematch clause for Wrestlemania.

Afterward Sheamus would level Bryan. The next match was a Diva’s match with WWE Diva’s Champion Eve defeating Maryse. Afterward Eve had to deal with Michael Cole from his cube belittling her effort. She responded appropriately by slapping him.

The next match was for the WWE Tag Team Titles as the Corre (Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel) defeated Vladimir Kozlov and Santino Marella. Afterward Kane and the Big Bhow entered the ring and destroyed all the members of the Corre. They did that as a result of an attack they suffered from members of the group.

Next was an interview via satellite in which John Cena said his only focus is on the Miz and not The Rock, and said he opted to stay home and recover. Next was another barrage of insults directed at Jerry Lawler as Cole would call his family “nothing but losers.”

Lawler ended up punching Jack Swagger and went after Cole only to be attacked by Swagger and put in another ankle lock. To add insult to injury, Michael Cole also locked an ankle lock on “The King.”

Dolph Ziggler was next up as he faced John Morrison which ended in a no contest after the women became involved in the match. The RAW GM announced that it would be John Morrison and Trish Stratus vs. Dolph Ziggler, Michelle McCool, Layla and Vicki Guerrero. The match would proceed and Ziggler would hit the “zig zag” on Morrison and Vicki Guerrero would get the pin, adding insult to injury.

Next was a Wrestlemania rewind match in which Rey Mysterio would face Randy Orton but just as the match looked to be going Orton’s way, CM Punk was on the Titantron admiring Orton’s bus and saying he is going to visit his wife.

As Orton would leave the ring, being counted out, he would be attacked by Punk with a wrench and Orton’s wife would have to watch as her husband got beaten up. The Miz came out and revealed that he was the greatest champion of all time and stated how he would not ever lose his title. He would reveal the new belt change turning the “W” for WWE to an “M” on the belt in honor of him.

He would compare himself to Michael Jordan, and other all time greats. As the satellite image went up of John Cena mocking The Miz, he would say that he is a lot closer to Miz than he thinks.

As camera crew members removed furniture, it was revealed that he was in the building. As Mix and Alex Riley looked on in shock, Cena would enter the ring and locked on his famous submission hold on Riley. The Miz would have to watch as referees attempted to pull him off Riley but couldn’t.

Raw aftermath

With two weeks left until Wrestlemania, The Rock is going to be making an appearance at the next RAW show. With the Rock, Stone cold, Trish Stratus, Snooki, HHH, and the Undertaker to go along with the Miz vs. Cena, Wrestlemania looks to be one of the most memorable ones in years.
