Kurt Angle Arrested: WWE/TNA Shocker
TNA star and Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle was arrested on Interstate 29 between Fargo and Grand Forks in North Dakota. The TNA star was charged in Grand Forks District court and his hearing was this afternoon. Kurt Angle was arrested early this morning in North Dakota, according to reports, highway patrol in Grand Forks found Angle sitting in his car in the median separating lanes. Angle told the police he had hit an icy patch. During the conversation, cops say they smelled alcohol on Angle’s breath and he then failed a sobriety test which led to his arrest. Since cops didn’t actually see Angle driving, he was arrested and charged with being in control of a motor vehicle while intoxicated…which means in all stupidity of technicalities that Angle was allegedly drunk behind the wheel but not actually driving.
TNA has a live event tonight at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, ND whic was headlined by Kurt Angle. As of last word, Angle is still scheduled to be there tonight and hold his match.
Angle was previously arrested in 2007 in Moon Township, PA on a DUI charge as well. On that day, police received a report of an erratic driver leaving a bar. Witnesses at the bar identified the driver as Kurt Angle and police then went to his home where he was then charged with driving under the influence and careless driving. Angle was found not guilty on those charges after he argued that the witness had numerous versions of the events that had actually occurred. Then in 2009 after a domestic dispute with Tranesha ‘Rhaka Khan’ Biggers Angle was arrested again. Again, all assault and harassment charges were dropped and Angle was charged with driving with a suspended license during that incident.
It should be noted that yesterday was Kurt Angle’s fiancées birthday which could explain his being intoxicated.
This is another blow to TNA that they do not need as they have many issues crippling the company, Kurt Angle and Jeff Hardy two of their biggest stars and investments have been making headlines for all the wrong reasons and no company needs that.
