James Kirkland Destroyed in 1 Round: Boxing Shocker!

James Kirkland, 27-1, 24 KO’s, known for his quick knockouts, was quickly stopped by Nobuhiro Ishida, 23-6-2, 8 KO’s, in just one round. At 1:52 of the very first round, it was over, with Kirkland dropped three times. The return of Kirkland after a stint in prison was very hyped, but the ring rust and knockouts over hapless opposition did not prepare him for a live body in the ring.
Another big upset…another undefeated superstar stopped. First David Lemieux and now Kirkland…what else does this boxing weekend of upsets have in store?
