Marcos Maidana – Erik Morales: Shocking Results

In a surprising fight, fought rather evenly, Marcos Maidana, 30-2, 27 KO’s, eked by Erik Morales, 51-7, 35 KO’s, via majority decision. Maidana came out strong early but as the rounds went on, the experience and talent of Morales shined through. It was the youth that was the big difference here and it may be an indication of just how limited Maidana is that this fight was so close.
Morales rejuvenated his career and set up a rematch with Maidana, considering the crowd pleasing nature of the fight.
