Manny Pacquiao: Plain and Simple – Floyd Mayweather JR is Afraid
On May 7th at the MGM Grand, Manny Pacquiao faces former World Champion Shane Mosley in a 12 round bout for Pacquaio’s WBO welterweight championship. Build up to the fight is trying to make it sound like Mosley has a legit chance of beating of Pacquiao. All the build up in the world, will not produce that result. No matter what the promoters do to spin this one, Shane will be stopped for the first time in his career.
However, the bigger question is: How did we get to this fight? Plain and Simple, Floyd Mayweather, JR., the former P4P fighter is scared to fight Manny Pacquiao. “How can you say this,” the Mayweather fans scream. Well, if Mayweather really wanted to fight him, would he turn down a guarantee of probably 40 million? Or try to take a page out of Roy Jones, JR’s book and price himself out with a ridiculous 100 million like Roy did in 2003 to face Mike Tyson.
When this fight was first talked about a few years ago, I was in the majority that Floyd would be too much for the PI warrior, but over time, and with the help of Floyd, his Uncle Roger and the rest of Team Mayweather, I now have completely different feelings and think that Floyd will never fight Manny and is scared in fact, of possibly losing. Real fighters over the years such as Sugar Ray Leonard, Tommy Hearns and Marvin Hagler to name just a few, were never scared of losing and took on the best because they knew to be the best, you must BEAT THE BEST…
With recent tax problems, you would think Floyd would jump at the chance to make a mint and along with it, becoming P4P in the Boxing World today. But he chooses to run from Manny and by the time he decides he is ready, Pacquiao will long be retired and I truly hope he stays, because he has nothing to prove anymore.
