RSR was just informed that WBC Heavyweight Champion, Vitali Klitschko, 42-2, 39 KO’s, has agreed to fight Tomasz Adamek, 44-1, 28 KO’s, on September 10th, in Poland. There was a substantial amount of money being offered to Vitali to fight in Poland, and it was enough to convince him to defend in his opponent’s backyard.
Vitali Klitschko is coming off of his first round stoppage of Odlanier Solis that ended when the challenger hurt his knee after a knockdown, while Adamek beat up Kevin McBride for 12 rounds. With the mobility of the challenger and the power and reach of the champion, this fight promises to be a chess match with the ingredients to make a great fight.
