The Rock Vs John Cena Not Happening: Major Disappointment for WWE Fans

By Geno McGahee

Wrestlemania 28 in Miami is when the biggest star in WWE history, arguably, The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) takes on the current big deal, John Cena, as the headlining match. We are about a year away and the people are getting impatient, eagerly awaiting to see the two in the ring, in a match, and the question was posed: Will it happen before WM 28?

Jim Ross answered the question and stated that the bout would not happen prior to the big event in Miami, disappointing many WWE fans. In fact, many chimed in to voice their opinions on the matter, either for or against the wait.

“Do you smell what the Georgie Girl is cooking? Yeah, you know the way it is! I’m on the loose and looking for my Anthony, but if he don’t want me back I’ll take my WM 28 tickets and share them with somebody else. Any takers? I may be toothless and a moron, but I’m a toothless moron with WM 28 tickets, and I cannot wait for this event, but it should only take place at the granddaddy of them all, Wrestlemania.” – Georgie Girl, Bronx

“The Rock should ONLY be wrestling at big events. After all, he’s gone beyond the WWE and is now a huge deal in Hollywood. Let’s wait for Wrestlemania. I want to see the Rock and Cena get downright messy and dirty in my hometown. WWE style baby.” – Brad Marchello, Miami

“Why should I have to wait you fool! Apparently you missed the fact that I watch RAW every week, and Smackdown, and Summerslam, and the list goes on and on. I’m not the sort of viewer that will sit on their hands. Of course I pay for the PPVs you fool but the Rock Vs Cena should have some lead up matches for me to enjoy too!” — Jack Mars

“I hope they ask me to perform one of my many hits like Candle in my Pants.” – Sir. Elton Murray, UK

“I remember when professional wrestling meant something. Gorilla Monsoon, Bob Backlund and the list goes on and on, but now we have these pretty boys that don’t even have grandchildren yet! The Rock? John Cena? Give me Chief Jay Strongbow any time of the week.” – Stan Hernandez, NM

The Rock vs. John Cena is a hot ticket and the WWE fans are eagerly awaiting it, but they will have to wait for the big one, Wrestlemania 28.
