Ax Murderer EXECUTED – Robert W. Jackson III DEAD
An ax murderer that was on Delaware’s death row for 18 years was executed at the state prison via lethal injection. It was announced by Governor Jack Markell.
In 1992, Robert W. Jackson, III, was sentenced to death for killing Elizabeth Girardi during a burglary attempt, using an ax he had.
“Mr. Jackson’s death sentence was recommended by a jury, imposed by a judge, and reviewed by state and federal appellate courts at all levels,” the governor stated. “It is my prayer that his victim rests in peace and her family finds some closure, May God have mercy on Mr. Jackson.”
It was the 30th execution in the U.S. this year.
