Jodi Arias Trial UPDATE – Nancy Grace, Casey Anthony, Verdict, News & More

By Geno McGahee

The defense team for accused murderer, Jodi Arias, 32, rested after 38 days of testimony. Arias is accused of killing her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander. The murder was vicious involving stabbing and shooting.

The defense witnesses claimed that Arias suffered from post traumatic stress disorder, a claim that prosecution witnesses rejected. Dr. Janeen DeMarte noted that “she does not have post traumatic stress disorder.”

Demarte did say that Arias had signs of personality disorder, which was evident by her anger, suicidal thoughts and paranoia. This may have been responsible for her murder of Alexander, 30, in 2008, where she stabbed him 27 times, slit his throat and put a bullet in his head.

There are many that are drawing comparisons to the most famous murder case in history, Casey Anthony. Both women are attractive and both women have a history of lying. Arias lied to police, stating that she wasn’t there when Travis was murdered. She then concocted the story that two masked individuals entered the home and terrorized the couple, killing Travis. Finally, she admitted being there and then noted a history of abusive behavior from her boyfriend. The victim was now on trial.

Nancy Grace, the Court TV host, has been very vocal in her disgust over Arias and has basically asked for her head on a platter. Grace gets a large viewership and a lot of this is for ratings, but you have to wonder if she hates attractive women. She goes after accused criminals like Anthony and Arias with more ferocity it seems.

Arias could get the death penalty and will most likely be sent a way for quite a while. Her behavior after the kill was suspicious and her lies on record have not helped her cause.
