Ringside Report Reviews the Series Good Girls – Entertainment News

By Janet Grace

The “Good Girls” series is just what the doctor ordered.

The last time I binged a series with such enthusiasm, I was watching “Dexter”, which is rumored to be returning to TV. I cannot wait.

Good Girls is like “Dexter Light”, given there are no gory scenes shown.

The story revolves around three ordinary mothers, two biological sisters and their “ride or die” best friend who encounter a series of dire circumstances in each one of their lives, which has them choose robbery as the solution, spiraling their world’s into a secret life of crime with hardened criminals; they have no experience dealing with, but deal with it, they do.

Similar to the plot in “Ozark”, every step they take forward, further enters them into more illegal acts and dangerous territory, with comedy at the base.

Run, don’t walk to your remote. Seasons one to three are now streaming on “Netflix.” Season four is currently out on NBC.

The series stars Christina Hendrix, Mae Whitman, Retta, Manny Montana, Matthew Lillard, David Hornsby, Reno Wilson, Isaiah Stannard, Lidya Jewett.

Created by Jenna Bans, Jeanine Renshaw.

In terms of reviews, IMDb gave it a 7.8/10; Rotten Tomatoes gave it an 87% and TV.com gave it a 7.7/10.

I give it an 8/10 after it babysat me for many sleepless, quarantined nights.
