Ringside Report Reviews: Don’t Look Up on Netflix – Entertainment News

By Janet Grace

I stumbled across this preview and gave it a gander without spectacles. It seemed witty enough to try. Imagine my absolutely jaw-dropping delight, when I wore my glasses to watch it and read:

Exactly! WOW, INDEED!

Now, you understand the dire need to lead with that tiny tid-bit.

Each one of these icons and legends can command the screen on their own, oh, but all together, it’s a – a revolution, I say, herculean, heroic, event.

These artists must have had a blast working on this production series, acting out our current events, hidden within swirls of perfectly timed sarcasm; screaming out for all the world to witness. Attention Earth, our dirty laundry is currently on display in real time.

What was uncanny for me, was that I’d just submitted an article; prior to this one, about someone (anyone with receipts) needing to step up and tell the truth about it all, and then, here is this movie telling the truth via metaphors. Law of Attraction strikes again.

The story tells of a graduate student’, Jennifer Lawrence’s, astronomical discovery and what happens when she and her Professor, Leonardo DiCaprio, attempt to share the horrific findings with the world. Read between the lines and pick up on all of the current event topic “shades” thrown in by the bushels.

I’m not going to ruin it by showing any more than the preview did, but I do give it as many stars as they have, solely for hitting the nail in the head, plus I’m girl-crushing on Cate Blanchett and Meryl Streep. I love them.

Every single Actor in this picture took their acting as far as they could with their characters. Watching them was a pleasure all its own. They’re all masters. You’ll love to hate the detestable characters. I promise you will laugh out loud – until you don’t. Please make sure you wait for the epilogue after a few credits have rolled by. IMDb gives it a 7.3/10. Rotten Tomatoes gave it three stars, 55%. I enjoyed it.
