Jerry Lee Lewis Dead at 87 – Entertainment News

Jerry Lee Lewis, the Rock n’ Roll legend, known for the songs “Great Balls of Fire” and “Whole Lot Of Shakin’ Going On”, passed away October 28, 2022, of natural causes in Desoto County, Mississippi. He was 87.

Nicknamed “the Killer”, for his piano playing prowess and impassioned vocals, Lewis was described as one of the most influential pianists of the 20th Century, paving the way for greats such as Elton John, who described Lewis as “The best rock & roll pianist ever. I couldn’t play like him because he’s too fast.” His musical style, in addition to Rock n’ Roll includes country, bluegrass, western swing and rhythm and blues.

Lewis released 40 studio albums, 10 compilation albums, and released numerous singles, including “Breathless”, “Chantilly Lace”, “Good Golly, Miss Molly”, “Turn on Your Love Light”, and “High School Confidential”.
