Casey Anthony: CLOSING ARGUMENTS – VERDICT APPROACHING

The Prosecution responded to the Defense’s drowning claim, calling it “absurd.” They asked the jury why George Anthony would cover up the accidental drowning death of 2 year old Caylee and try to make it look like a murder.

Prosecutor Jeff Ashton told the Florida jury today that nobody would ever make an accident look like a murder. The contention that George Anthony placed duct tape over his dead granddaughter’s body and dump her into the woods in some attempt to make it look like a murder instead of calling the authorities immediately after the accident is ridiculous.

The Prosecution contends that Casey Anthony suffocated her daughter in 2008, and then dumped her body. The Defense is trying to create reasonable doubt, stating the case that Caylee drowned in the Anthony swimming pool.
