Puppeteer Sid Krofft Dies At 96 – Entertainment News

The man behind shows like “The Banana Split Adventure Hour” and “H.R. Pufnstuf” died on Friday, 10 April. He was 96.

He and his brother Marty were hired by NBC in 1968 to design the costumes for ”The Banana Split Adventure Hour” and they became an instant hit.

When NBC asked them the following year to come up with an idea for another show, they created “H.R. Pufnstuf” and even The Beatles became fans!
