Sheffield Water Works Company is a Wetherspoon pub in Sheffield. The building dates back to 1867. It was designed by architects Flockton and Abbott as offices for the Sheffield Water Works Company. Any local real ale is a favorite drink among the customers. As with most Wetherspoon pubs, Fish and Chips is the most favorite dish on the menu. When you walk inside you notice the Welcome to Sheffield Water Works Company message on the carpet. Fancy decorative carpet throughout, incorporating patterned design from local architectural buildings nearby. Original, grand 2 story ceilings, grand windows and doors, original chandelier lighting. The pub has ambient day-to-day music and features DJ playlists and upbeat dancing on the weekend and student nights. They have Bingo on Monday and Quiz on Tuesday. KB: Since when does the pub building exist and when did it become a Wetherspoon pub?

The building dates back to 1867. It used to be Lloyds Bar from 1998-2000 when Wetherspoon took over in July of that year. It still operates as a Lloyds Bar.

KB: What is a fun fact about the pub not many people know?

It was designed by architects Flockton and Abbott as offices for the Sheffield Water Works Company.

KB: What drink is a favorite and people must try?

Any local real ale. The range changes every few days.

KB: What dish on the menu is a favorite and people must try?

Fish and Chips. A Classic.

KB: Which famous people have visited the pub over the years?

Les Battersby from “Coronation Street”. Numerous snooker players from the WST which happen to be just around the corner at the Crucible Theatre.
