NYPD Officer Avoids Rape Charge but still PRISON BOUND – INSIDE STORY
A former New York Police officer, Kenneth Moreno, that was acquitted of rape, but convicted of official misconduct was sentenced to the maximum of one year behind bars. His partner Franklin Mata, is expected to get a similar sentence later on today.
Both officers were found guilty in May of leaving their posts on a regular basis to visit the apartment in the East Village of a woman. She later accused the officers of rape, but the Manhattan jury acquitted them of the charge.
