Tonya Thomas, 33, of Port St. John, Florida, shot all four of her children that ranged in age from 12 to 17, and then killed herself. Three of the children ran for the neighbor, only to make it to the door and be shot by their mother as she stalked them.

The children were identified as Pebbles Johnson, 17, Jaxs Johnson, 15, Jazlin Johnson, 13, and Joel Johnson, 12. According to reports, Tonya sent a text message in the middle of the night to a neighbor, stating that she wanted to be cremated with her children.

According to reports, the Johnsons were no stranger to law enforcement. Thomas reported that her son threw a bicycle through a window at the house and that she had been beaten by him when she tried to wake him up for school. Child welfare would investigate allegations of inadequate supervision of the children.

Tonya Thomas was arrested for striking the father of her children in 2002, a misdemeanor battery charge. There have been consistent problems in the Johnson household, leading to this terrible conclusion.
