Grandmother MURDER TRIAL – Sandra Layne BREAKING NEWS: 75-Year-Old Killer Murders Grandson

Sandra Layne, 75, could be convicted of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter or involuntary manslaughter, which are currently the options for the jury. The closing arguments are set for today.

Layne does not deny shooting her grandson, Jonathan Hoffman, but claims that it was in self-defense. The defense is that Hoffman had a history of drug use and brought dangerous people in and around the home, forcing the grandmother to arm herself. Prosecutors disagree and claim that this was premeditated murder.
