Peter Quillin – Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam – FIGHT OF THE YEAR BOXING RESULTS

By Geno McGahee

The word “wow” comes to mind after watching the great battle between defending WBO middleweight champion, Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam, 27-1, 17 KO’s, and Peter Quillin, 28-0, 20 KO’s. The first three rounds were dictated by N’Dam’s speed and movement. The fourth round was a showcase for Quillin, as he dropped the champion twice from vicious and accurate left hooks. He would repeat the feat in the sixth round.

From seven to eleven, N’Dam took control of the fight again and was making it close again, but in the final round, a left hook would again send him to the floor. Quillin would knock him down again, for the sixth time, taking the victory by a unanimous score of 115-107 across the board.

Quillin had his career moment of truth in the later rounds of this fight. He came into the final round and proved that he is a champion and N’Dam did the same thing, standing up to huge punches to try to defend his title. These were two warriors and both were incredibly impressive.
