Tyson Fury: Shut Your Pie Hole & Cut the Crap!

I spent most of this weekend focused on the NFL playoffs but I do want to weigh in briefly on the Deontay Wilder vs Artur Szpilka fight this past Saturday night. I don’t want to comment on the fight itself as Anthony “Stacks” Saldana already provided an excellent recap for RSR. What I am concerned with is what occurred afterwards. During Wilder’s post-fight interview, Tyson Fury did his best “HHH” impersonation. He entered the ring, got in Deontay’s face and started trash talking, at one point referring to him as a “bum”. Call me a traditionalist, or an old fart, if you wish but I was completely unimpressed and utterly turned off by Fury’s antics.

His actions were completely thoughtless and boorish in light of the fact that Szpilka had just been carried off the ring a few minutes earlier on a stretcher. Tyson there is a time and a place for everything and that was NOT it. If you can truly fight, let your fists do the talking and cut the crap!
