In a clash of unbeaten light heavyweight prospects, Carlos Gongora, 6-0, 5 KO’s, knocked out Ronald Mixon, 7-1,6 KO’s, in the first round with a straight left hand to the head. Fight was scheduled for eight rounds.

In a battle of heavyweight prospects, Wesley Triplett, 4-1,2 KO’s, scored a third round stoppage victory over Eric Newell, 8-4-3, 5 KO’s when the referee waved off the fight after the ringside doctor examined Newell’s broken jaw. The end came at twenty-seven seconds into the third round, when Triplett landed a massive uppercut that badly hurt the hometown fighter, which led to the stoppage. Fight was scheduled for six rounds.

Lightweight prospect Carlos Rosario, 5-1, 3 KO’s waited until there was only two seconds left in the sixth and final round before sending his opponent Cesar Garcia,11-21-1, 5 KO’s to canvas, and scoring the knockout win after the final bell. Garcia was counted out at 3:08 mark of the sixth round.

Welterweight prospect Daquan Johnson, 2-0, 2KO’s easily dispatched Stephan Bass, 1-3, in the second round by TKO. Bass claimed after the fight that he was given the fight on three days’ notice and had to lose seventeen pounds to make weight.
