Ex-Governor, pro-wrestler, actor, and host of CONSPIRACY THEORY, Jesse Ventura, is addressing a serious problem with the airport security and the illusion of safety mixed with the intrusion on a person’s body.
Ventura is suing the Department of Homeland Security, stating that full body scans and pat downs violate his right to be free from unreasonable search and seizures. The lawsuit said the pat-down “exposed him to humiliation and degradation through unwanted touching, gripping and rubbing of the intimate areas of his body.”
TSA’s website claims that there are 500 full body scanners, which leaves nothing to the imagination of the security guard that is looking on, BUT there are many people for this intrusion, willing to give up freedom for the illusion of safety. Ventura, as he has always done, is taking a stand against the continued removal of rights. Terrorism is always pointed at as the reason but yanking down an old lady’s pants is not doing anything to prevent a person from taking down a plane.
TSA does require that those that turn down the scanner submit to a test where they check the inner thigh and buttocks of the person taking the flight. The sad fact is that there will be another terrorist attack that will prove how ineffective this is and how it only makes it tougher for those trying to get from point A to point B.
I commend Ventura for making a stand and for coming out publicly against this nonsense.
