Secretly Recorded Conversations with President’s Sister, Maryanne Trump Barry, Reveals President Has “No Principles” And Is “Cruel”

Family — most of the time we cannot live without them and half the time we wonder how the hell we ended up with the ones we get. They meet us at the very beginning of our lives, and for many they remain with us until our last breath. Most are completely dysfunctional and drive us insane, but we love them. Family members also usually end up being the ones who know us best. For the Trump dynasty it seems like they run theirs as everything else in their lives; a bizarre escapade that produces failed businesses ventures at every turn.
Earlier this summer Donald Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, published a tell all book which detailed the inner dynamics of how the Don, his father Fred, SR., and the rest of the clan were far from the Brady Bunch and much more like a Great Value version of the Gambino crime family. If you have not checked it out already, the incredible CEO and publisher of Ringside Report “Bad” Brad Berkwitt provided an amazing review of ‘Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man’ earlier this week on his show. I highly suggest watching it as soon as possible to get a better understanding of how deranged this family’s history truly is.
So this weekend when over 15 hours of audio recordings of conversations between Mary Trump and her aunt Maryanne Trump Barry were released, the content showed a deeper insight into what the president’s older sister, who was once a federal judge, really thought of her brother’s job in the Oval Office. The recordings illuminate the tension between the president and his sister with her statements depicting him as his opponents have over the last four years – a “cruel” liar who has “no principles” that only cares about himself.
Mary Trump originally taped her personal conversations with her aunt in secret after she had found out her relatives had lied about the family’s estate value nearly two decades prior after the passing of her grandfather, the late Fred Trump, SR. Regarding the legal battle, Mary claims in her book that the falsified records resulted in her receiving far less than she was expecting during the battle over her inheritance. It was during these private discussions, Trump’s niece learned far more than she could’ve ever imagined about her uncle. The audio recordings took place between 2018 and 2019.
According to the reporting provided by the Washington Post and now backed by CNN, both whom were given copies of the tapes, Maryanne tells the story of how Donald paid someone to take his SATs to get into his alma mater: “He went to Fordham for one year [actually two years] and then he got into University of Pennsylvania because he had somebody take the exams.” “No way!” Mary responded. “He had somebody take his entrance exams?” Barry then replied, “SATs or whatever… That’s what I believe,” before adding, “I even remember the name. That person was Joe Shapiro.” I must note it is not the infamous Joe Shapiro who attended UPenn with the president and no one has come forth yet claiming to be the individual who supposedly took the test. My guess is Michael Cohen probably wrote a check to them to keep silent during Trump’s 2016 campaign just like with porn-star Stormy Daniels.
Barry’s opinion of the MAGA cult is also quite fascinating as she seemingly realizes the hypocrisy behind the entire movement. “His base, I mean my God, if you were a religious person, you want to help people. Not do this,” Barry can be heard saying. Her denouncement stems from a 2018 Fox News interview where the president suggested he would put her on the Southwestern Border of the United States to oversee cases of immigrant children separated from their parents. Barry, 83, also is heard stating that she guesses Donald has never read her opinion on immigration cases. “What has he read?” her niece asks her aunt. Barry simply responds, “No. He doesn’t read.” Yet in another point of the recordings, Barry’s opinion on her brother is quite clear when she says to her niece: “It’s the phoniness of it all. It’s the phoniness and this cruelty. Donald is cruel.”
In some of her more critical comments, Barry criticizes her younger brother’s ability to operate as president adding: “His goddamned tweet and lying, oh my God,” she said, according to the recording. “I’m talking too freely, but you know. The change of stories. The lack of preparation. The lying. Holy shit.”
Maryanne Trump Barry’s comments are almost identical with those made by others who know the president all too well. Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci, Donald’s former personal attorney and fixer Michael Cohen, former Department of Homeland Security chief of staff Miles Taylor, and the continuous list of White House officials and personal confidants goes on and on and on. It is almost as if everyone who gets to know the man behind the orange spray tan seems to share these same sentiments. We are almost to a point where it would be more surprising if someone close to him said something different.
So far Maryanne Trump Barry has not commented on the release of these conversations, but the president was quick to try and minimize the allegations made by his own kin. In a statement from President Trump provided by the White House on Saturday evening, “Every day it’s something else, who cares. I miss my brother, and I’ll continue to work hard for the American people. Not everyone agrees, but the results are obvious. Our country will soon be stronger than ever before.” The brother he is referring to is Robert Trump who died earlier this month.
Well, he isn’t wrong as the results are quite obvious. His family seems to think of him as the poorly prepared, delusional bird brain the rest of us have come to grow exhausted of. Thankfully for us we will hopefully be through with his nonsense after this year while his relatives will have to continue dealing with it throughout the entirety of their lives. As I said before, family knows best. It is also clear they know he is not the best we’ve ever had contrary to his daily personal claims.
