Illusionist Siegfried Fischbacher Dead at 81: Cause of Death Revealed – Breaking Entertainment News

Siegfried Fischbacher, a German Illusionist and surviving member of the duo Siegfried and Roy, died January 13, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada, from pancreatic cancer. He was 81. His death came eight months after that of his business partner Roy Horn.
Fischbacher was born on June 13, 1939 in Rosenheim, Germany. When he was a child he purchased a magic book and began to practice illusions. Fischbacher found work performing magic on the ship TS Bremen under the stage name Delmare. Aboard the ship he met Roy Horn and asked him to assist him during a show. Eventually, the duo became Siegfried and Roy. They performed in Las Vegas, Nevada from February 1, 1990 until October 3, 2003, following Horn’s career-ending injury. The duo was known for their performances with white lions and white tigers.
In addition to their live stage show, Fischbacher and Horn were also involved in TV and film productions including SIEGFRIED AND ROY: MASTERS OF THE IMPOSSIBLE (1996), VEGA$ VACATION (1997), SIEGFRIED AND ROY: THE MAGIC BOX (1999), and were executive producers of the animated sitcom FATHER OF THE PRIDE.
