BigBox VR Unveils Early POPULATION: ONE Season One Details – Breaking Gaming News

POPULATION: ONE, BigBox VR’s award-winning battle royale FPS VR game, will receive a major update in less than a month when the launch of Season One, “Uprising” becomes available. The 10-week-long season is coming soon to Oculus Quest and Rift platforms, as well as HTC Vive, Windows MR and Valve Index. Throughout the season players can look forward to tons of free new content, new weapons, map updates, and more! In Season One, Seekers formed the “Uprising” to fight against the Bureau, the megacorporation that controls the near future world of POPULATION: ONE.

“The Season One update builds upon our Vertical Combat System to give players even more ways to play and create social connections, only possible in VR. We can’t wait to share more details soon on what’s coming in Season One,” said Chia Chin Lee, BigBox VR’s CEO and co-founder.

This first season sets the stage for a continuously updated battle royale game where the combat will never be the same. Fighting in close quarters will be even more intense with the introduction of melee weapons including the katana and knife. The high-powered Light Machine Gun (LMG) also provides a new support class weapon to suppress enemy fire so squadmates can flank for the win. Throughout the season, the dynamic environment will change as the Seekers try to take control of POPULATION: ONE. And players will get a chance to go inside the mysterious Tower.

Additionally, there are two big ways the community can connect. Players can gift Seeker Credits to each other to unlock exclusive content. And one of the most requested features, Private Servers, will come online later in the season. Players will be able to hang out in the lobby and choose who they want to play with and when they want to start a round, at any time.
