“It’s the fight I’ve been waiting for, a fight that motivates me. It is totally different when you fight without motivation, but I am motivated and I know what I can accomplish with this victory! I am very happy, and excited for the fight to come. I never craved a fight this much and now it’s finally here; the fight I’ve wanted for my whole career. It’s a dream come true, I don’t want to waste it,” Chavez said.
“Everyday I dream of being a champion. The fight goes through my mind everyday. It’s been three months since they announced it and I know what can happen if I win. We all have goals in life and this is one that would be a great achievement for me,” said the Mexican idol.
Regarding the bout against the unbeaten German, Julio said it wouldn’t be easy, but not impossible. “It’s a tough fight, Zbik has not lost, is the champion and will defend what he owns. It’s the biggest fight of his life, I imagine it will be difficult because he’s not here to lose, he will defend his title, but I have a good strategy and I know how to win the fight. ”
Julio César dedicated the fight to all Mexicans who have believed in him. “It’s for Mexico, this title is for Mexicans,” he concluded.
