Artur Szpilka Beats Brian Minto – Boxing News

Unbeaten heavyweight Artur “The Pin” Szpilka (15-0, 11 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Brian “The Beast” Minto (37-6, 24 KOs) on Saturday night at the Hala Luczniczka in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Minto pressed the action and landed the harder punches, while Szpilka boxed from the outside and mostly tried to avoid getting into a war like he did in his fight with Mollo. Scores were 98-93, 98-92, and an outrageous 100-90. Fightnews scored it 97-93. Szpilka will now take on Mike Mollo on August 16 in a remstch at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago.

Earlier, unbeaten cruiserweight Pawel Kolodziej (32-0, 17 KOs) cruised to an eight round unanimous decision over Cesar Crenz (20-7, 13 KOs)
