British Welterweight rivals Kell Brook and Amir Khan are reportedly close to agreeing to a showdown to take place at Wembley Stadium in London on June 4th. IBF champion Brook is undefeated at 35-0, 24 KO’s and has successfully defended twice since winning a majority decision over Shawn Porter in August 2014. The 29 year old Brook is ranked as the #7 fighter in the world pound for pound by Ring Magazine. Khan, also 29 years old, was the Silver Medalist at the 2004 Athens Olympics and holds victories over Marco Antonio Barrera, Andreas Kotelnik, Paulie Malignaggi, Marcos Maidana, and Zab Judah. Khan’s career was derailed by losses to Lamont Peterson, in December 2011, and Danny Garcia, in July 2012.

However over the past 3+ years, he’s rebounded to win 5 consecutive fights. Potential matchups with Floyd Mayweather, JR. and Manny Pacquiao haven’t panned out, leading to speculation about this bout. This is yet another exciting matchup for a Welterweight division that’s gained new life in the aftermath of Mayweather’s retirement. As Mills Lane would say: “Let’s Get It On!”
