A True Legend is Gone….

David Hockney died on Thursday, 11 June. He was 88.

Being a huge fan of Mr. Hockney, this fucking hurts!

I went especially to Paris last year to see 400 works on display in the exhibition “David Hockney 25” at Fondation Louis Vuitton.

So glad now I decided to go then!

I got to see my favorite painting “Mr. and Mrs. Clark and Percy”!

Mr. Hockney loved colors. They were splashed all over his paintings.

“A Bigger Splash” and “Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures)” made him famous all over the world.

His career spanned more than sixty years in which he painted more than 2,000 paintings.

Here is a list of his most famous works:

“Peter Getting Out of Nick’s Pool” – 1966
“A Bigger Splash” – 1967
“American Collectors (Fred & Marcia Weisman)” – 1968
“Christopher Sherwood and Don Bachardy” – 1968
“Mr. and Mrs. Clark and Percy” – 1970
“Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures)” – 1972
“My Parents” – 1977
“Mulholland Drive: The Road to the Studio” – 1980
“Nichols Canyon” – 1980
“The Road to York Through Sledmere” – 1997
“Garrowby Hill” – 1998

Mr. Hockney will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Forever in my heart. Everywhere.

Rest in Peace Mr. Hockney.
